INTRAMURAL SPORT LEAGUES
Basketball - Leagues played in the East Gym Leagues run Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters
• A League
This is the real deal. 5 on 5 full court hoops with refs, three point shots, no look passes and high flying action. Grab your posse and sign up or else you’ll miss the best run on campus. Games are played in the East Gym. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
• B League "B" league basketball is a long standing tradition at UCSC. It’s also the closest thing to ‘street ball’ we have going. Find some pals and sign-up your squad early so you don’t miss out on the fun. Crash the boards, hit the outlet and knock down the jumper. The 4 on 4 cross court format makes for an exciting end to end style of play. This league is self-officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
• Coed League
This is one of the most fun Intramural leagues we have. Teams play 5 on 5 at the East Gym. Special rules enhance the lady hoopster. Championship T’s to the winning team. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
Dodgeball - Leagues played in the West Gym
Leagues run Winter and Spring Quarters
• Open League
The Intramural Dodgeball League is perfect for you and your friends. This is one of the most popular IM Leagues. Make sure you get your team signed up in time because this league will fill pronto. We play coed six people to a side. There is no limit to the number of players you can have on your roster, the more the merrier. Games are played in the West Gym. These games are officiated. IM Championship T-Shirts go to the winning team.
Flag Football - Leagues played on the Upper Field
Leagues run Fall and Spring Quarters
• Open League
Every Monday afternoon on the East Field we’re going deep, running sweeps and gettin’ picks. What better way is there to get ready for Monday Night Football? We play 7 aside with special rules to encourage the passing game. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
Futsal (Indoor Soccer) - Leagues played in the West Gym
Leagues run Fall and Winter Quarters
• Coed League The Intramural Futsal League is perfect for you and your friends. This is one of the most popular IM Leagues. Make sure you get your team signed up in time because this league will fill pronto. We play 3 men and 2 women to a side. The league is fast and fun. The game is played with a size 3 non bouncing ball to emphasize skills. The league starts the third week of classes and runs up to finals week. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
Outdoor Soccer - Leagues played on the Upper Field

• Coed League People turn out in droves for this league. Make sure you get your team signed up in time because this league will fill pronto. We play 5 men and 4 women to a side. What better way is there to spend an autumn afternoon than on the hollowed east fields. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
Softball - Leagues played on the Upper Field

• Coed League The endless allure of the crack of the bat, the pop of a ball and mitt and pastoral splendor all are part of the long tradition of Softball here at UCSC. With the World Series just around the corner these leagues are sure to fill up right away so get your team together and sign-up pronto. We have special rules to enhance coed play. There are 5 men and 4 women to a side with extra subs. 3 pitch rules are used meaning that you pitch to your own team. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
Volleyball - Leagues played in the East Gym Leagues run Fall, Winter, and Spring Quarters
• Coed "A" League If you can bump set, and hit this is the league for you. "A" Volleyball is the highest level of Intramural play. Teams are comprised of 3 men and 3 women with special rules to emphasize coed play. This league is self-officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
• Coed "B" League
This is a totally fun league for those volleyball players that are not quite skilled enough to compete in the "A" league. "B" volleyball is a great league to join for a festive fall quarter. 3 men and 3 women make up the sides. Special Coed rules are used to make the league more fun. This league is self-officited. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team.
Ultimate Frisbee - Leagues played on the Upper Field
Leagues run Fall and Spring Quarters
• Coed League Santa Cruz is known around the world as a mecca for disc sports. One little known disc sports activity that is not world reknowed but just as fun is the annual Fall quarter IM Ultimate League. Sign up as an individual and we’ll draft you onto a team. You’ll learn the basics of the game since each team has some vets as well as rookies. This league is self-officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team. Innertube Water Polo - Leagues played in the Main Pool
Leagues run Fall and Spring Quarters
• Coed League It was so successful last year that we’re back for more. Don’t miss out on this action packed sport. We play 6 aside (including the goalie) in the Main Pool. Special rules keep the action moving and include the women’s player. Games will last about 30-45 minutes. This league was incredibly popular last year so don’t wait too long as it is sure to fill up. This league is officiated. Special IM Champion shirts are awarded to the winning team. DIVISIONS OF PLAY
A. Open - Open to all students, faculty, staff, and current wellness card holders who meet the specific eligibility requirements of Intramural play. There are no gender requirements’.
B. A League - Open to all students, faculty, staff, and current wellness card holders who meet the specific eligibility requirements of Intramural play. A Leagues are officiated and are considered more competitive in nature.
C. B League - Open to all students, faculty, staff, and current wellness card holders who meet the specific eligibility requirements of Intramural play. B Leagues are not officiated and are considered less competitive in nature.
D. Co-Ed - Open to all students, faculty, and staff, and current wellness card holders who meet the specific eligibility requirements of intramural play. Competition in this division consists of approximately 50% male and 50% female participation. |
